A Heartwarming Journey from TJ to Truck, Locally Recognized for Delicious Food and Community

We’re thrilled to announce that “From TJ to Truck,” a recent publication in the San Diego Reader, has featured Corazon de Torta for the second time, the first time we made the cover, we debuted at their taco festival “Tacotopia” and made such a big impact that they featured us in the Reader’s Taco edition. This article tells the inspiring story of how our truck came to be, from the founder’s love for traditional Mexican cuisine to the challenges we faced in starting the business. We’re so proud to have persevered through those challenges and have gained a loyal following of customers who share our passion for delicious food and community.     Corazon de Torta is a transfronterizo movimiento that prides itself on providing authentic Mexican Abuelita stylecooking for Pocho San Diego, private and corporate caterings, craft beer breweries, festivals and beyond.
    Powered by Tijuana, most of our team lives a Bi Border lifestyle. We grew up with this food and looked to Chef Jose Figueroa of Tijuana’s ”La Carmelita” foodtruck to create our varied and tasty  menu.
     We run San Diego’s premiere mobile Mexican food.
